Great Interview Chris,
I actually knew very little about Rob England until I viewed this clip. I have seen references to the IT Skeptic here and there but never really put much thought into it. However, now I have to go buy the book. I could identify with his perceptions of ITIL when he described interviewing a customer and having the ITIL process poster torn down and then being told, "you can have that, no one uses it".
I have to agree with his comments that People and Culture are left out of so many ITIL solutions. I identified with the stories around putting lots of effort and consulting dollars into developing very good processes, only to have them slowly die because People and Culture were completely left out of the planning, implementation, training, and follow up reviews.
I'm going to have to join the itskeptic.org. And I too may use your analogy of your mother's meatloaf and the Betty Crocker book. I will also have to make time to see Part 1 of this interview. Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Carlos
