prISM RELEASED
It is official last week itSMF announced prISM. A few technical difficulties with the webinar and BrightTalk but the mole is now outside the machine. They need a lesson on selling prISM, but then again all of ITSM needs a lesson in Sales & Marketing.
THE DAY ITSM DIED
Just noticed ITSM portal now streams news and VENDORS. I have been told it has always done this, but I had not noticed. ITSM portal seems to be alive with activity lately, vendors seem to be struggling to get any attention. Vendors.
NEXTERAL STORE FRONT
Is it too much to tie this into a Service Catalog? Save this post it will be your seen as a bellwether in six months.
LATEST UPDATE FROM itSMF INTERNATIONAL CHAIR- DAVID CANNON
Remember EF Hutton Commercials? I bet David Cannon does.
MICROSOFT MANAGEMENT SUMMIT
Bring out your dead! Two tweets from the Service Manager account over at Microsoft (see below). People may not realize this, but I spent a full day at Microsoft meeting with the Service Manager team 3 years ago to be their technical product manager. People seem to fall in two camps with Microsoft’s service desk offering, 1. It won’t effect us, we are REAL service desk 2. If I don’t mention it, it will never exist. Personally if ran a company that sold service desk software, I would be at MMS 2010 and taking notes and handing out resumes.
TWEETS from @ServiceManager
- “Multiple Service Manager sessions planned for MMS 2010 in April, we are gearing up for a big splash - check out: www.mms-2010.com “
- “ I am interested in hearing about any Service Manager demos people would like to see at MMS or in a webcast “
PRETTY ITIL PICTURES!
Skep struck gold! Nice pics of ITIL that Rob England found and posted to twitter. This is so sweet!
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AGENDA
Customer Experience management and IT Marketing Management , both near and dear to my war torn ITSM heart. Great article by one of the few software vendors working to bridge CRM, and Experience.
ORACLE KILLS FREE SUPPORT BLOG AND TWITTER ACCOUNT
As if it was not a slap in the face that Forrester was locking down their analysts behind a new social Berlin wall, Oracle is moving to kill social IT support. Keep it up folks, the social web is going to bitch slap you.
GOOGLE BUZZ IN GOOGLE BUZZ –QUICK ANALYSIS
Michael Cote live from his new office gets buzzed and passes it along.
