Botox and First Call Resolution

Well my dream of giving away an all-expense paid vacation to IT makeover land has come true.  Yesterday we launched ITSM Extreme Makeover!

A few important items, we had 2200 sign ups in the weeks prior to the site going live.  I also received about 20 emails from organizations big and small with the most heart ripping stories.

My first order of business is to coordinate all the folks who are looking for help, second get all the exciting vendors on the same page and finally make sure this doesn't turn into a circus.

My biggest fear is not the process or the outcome, my biggest fear is the blogging.

You see I have a secret.

I started podcasting because:

  1. I couldn't find anything of interest on ITSM and Tech
  2. I hate writing.

There I said it.  I HATE WRITING.  Actually, I’m not being honest.  I love writing. I HATE people reading my writing.

While a verbal wordsmith of the highest order, I just can't write with the grace or skill of the Rob England's and Troy Dumoulin's of the world.

Their blogs and books read like butter, smooth, tasty and with a hint of warmth.

I on the other hand, I think of it, I write it and publish.  I don’t look for errors and I don’t care how it reads.

I'm educated, I'm just lazy.  David Ratcliffe told me it's worse to be a lazy writer than a bad writer.

Chris Brogan’s advice on blogging is to write and keep writing.

So here I go…..

p.s. I’m better when it’s only 140 characters!

You can do it Chris, and if you need an editor, remember I'm an english major. Throw anything my way anytime. (p.s. I hate writing too).
