Social Media, ITSM and Collaborative Innovation Live From Australia

I have spent considerable effort limiting my engagements in 2011 in the ITSM community.  There are too many vitally important voices that need to be heard that don’t have the platform that our community has allowed me.

People who are fortunate enough to be asked to speak, educate or motivate others are always facing a double edged sword.

You don’t want to over expose yourself, your message, brand or image.  At the same time, you want to make sure that you just don’t show up and rehash the same messages that we get bombarded with each day via the marketing machine.

I strive with every class or keynote to bring completely new content and reset the status quo on the topics of the day.

I am thrilled to invite each and every one of you to the event that will shape ITSM knowledge transfer in 2011.

Join me as I keynote “Customer Engagement is in the Palm of Your Hand”, in Perth Australia, 17-19, 2011.

This will not be your average keynote.  Be prepared to be scared, enlightened and entertained as I bring tomorrow’s technology messaging directly to your seat.

Additionally, to reach as many people as we can, I will be hosting a one day workshop that, up until now, has only been offered in the United States.

Workshop Overview

The workshops feature Leveraging Enterprise 2.0 Collaboration, Mobility, and Social Media in your IT role.  Whether it is Service Desk, Change Management or Incident Management, Social Media Consumer, Creator or Curator whatever your role.  If you’re in Marketing, IT, or even Accounting, you spend your entire day Consuming, Creating or Combining information for others.

The Social Media revolution has unleashed a new world of problems in collaboration.  Your peers are located remotely, your customers are wildly banging at the gate, and you are just trying to keep the lights on.

Social Media Essentials is a revolution.  The class that started out in North America in 2009 and found its way to EMEA, Asia and Brazil in 2010-2011 is now here in Australia!  Classes being offered exclusively through itSMF Australia and counting toward your prISM CPD in three locations over two weeks!

You will take away from this class a new set of tools, views and real practices when it comes to not only changing your enterprise, but the start of Enterprise YOU!

What you will learn:

  1. Where and how to create your first mobile application.
  2. The proper way to collaborate both externally and internally with the new email etiquette of this decade.
  3. Setting up and managing alternate support channels in public and private forums.
  4. Hiring skillsets for the next 36 months.
  5. Three step plan to start on your first day back to work.

What you will take with you:

  1. itSMF priSM CPD.
  2. Knowledge gained from interactive workshops.
  3. Ongoing support with 1 hour of after class support via phone and email!
  4. Lists of all current Service Desk and IT shops using next generation support tools so you can model your efforts.
  5. A copy of the IT Skeptic's "Introduction to REAL ITSM"
  6. A feeling of wellbeing some describe as enchantment.

 What others are saying:

“I really didn’t know what to expect, now that I have been through this workshop, I feel overwhelmed, excited and scared to death”

***

“I signed up because my employer had an empty seat, I left knowing that my future was happening right in front of me and 2015 might as well be today”

***

“Chris brought to the class an “edu-tainment” that I have never witnessed.  We shared stories, compared notes and there was nothing but kimonos on the floor by the end of the day”
