Knowledge Workers and Big Data

I encourage to you read Stephen Wolfram's blog on his personal analytics.  This will show you a much deeper dive into my search for new metrics for knowledge workers.

ifttt lets me get in control of my digital footprint.  Over the past six months I have been having this runbook automation create a google calendar entry each time I:
Create and Evernote

  • Facebook
  • Check In
  • LinkIn
  • Blog
  • Podcast
  • Travel
  • Text
  • and a bunch more cool stuff.

The result has created an amazing amount of data about how and when I work.  This is important because until we as knowledge workers in 2012 realize that offices, emails and meetings are killing innovation, we can't start to move forward.
